James Madison University was established in 1908 and is based in Harrisonburg, Virginia. It is a public university that currently has 17,964 students enrolled in its non-degree courses, undergraduate and graduate programs. Doctoral degree programs are also offered in several fields. The university comprises of seven colleges, namely, the College of Business, College of Integrated Science and Technology, College of Science and Mathematics, College of Education, College of Graduate and Outreach Programs, College of Visual and Performing Arts and College of Arts and Letters.
